Meet Mary (:

What were your main program goals? Did these goals change throughout your program?
Our first goal of working together was building my endurance. I have long-haul covid and fatigue that affected me so much that going up the stairs would give me body aches and make it hard to keep standing up. However, after working together for a while I got to set a new goal of being able to surf this summer.

What was your first impression of Coach Kait? Can you take a minute and share your experience at the beginning of your program? (think intake, consult, program, equipment instruction, environment, personability, communication) *
Kait was kind and easy to talk too. After hearing her story I knew she was going to be an important part of my healing journey. She did a full intake of my stress load, my eating habits, and how often I got movement. I remember feeling like she really heard me and understood my health struggles. I learned a lot after our first meeting and started to feel hopeful again.
What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while working with Coach Kait?
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned from working with Kait is that working out is self-care. Finding what you like and how to balance it is key.
Do you still practice this lesson today?
Yes. Today I worked out and I had a lot of fun doing it.

What is your new outlook on wellness?
My new outlook on wellness is that is worth doing because I’m worth it.
Coach Kait’s Take-

I had the privilege of working with Mary August 2022- May 2023. Mary’s Mom requested that I assist with her recovery. She was thrilled to hear of my background with special populations. Upon meeting Mary, I met a very fatigued and frail individual. Although Mary wasn’t officially diagnosed with POTS I was still able to utilize similar principles such as baseline/priming exercises that were performed in a supine or seated position, nutrient timing, mindfulness and wellness education. By Spring Mary was climbing flights of stairs, socializing and best of all using tools as a pro-active but also acute form of therapy. <3
