Goals. Goals. Goals. Goals.
If you are a planner… you have lists of goals.
Reasons? As a planner you want to be efficient, simply feel accomplished or…I don’t know feel free to insert your idea here –> _______.
Personally, I plan because in KAIT’s brain…there is NEVER enough time in the world…PERIOD. Such a scary thought and a verrryyy unhealthy way of thinking at times…but I’m human…so there ya go…I just spilled the beans.
I set goals. I am always looking for the next thing. Life is brilliant. AND FULL OF possibilities.
This sounds pretty peachy until my “to-do” list is a mile long!
Whether its personal fitness, house projects (my poor husband, there is ALWAYS a current project lol), social plans, books to read etc.
So here is what helps me…something I share with clients.
The most common issues that are tagged with goals are:
- Unrealistic
- Too many
- Vague
Can you think of any current goals you are setting for yourself that fit this criteria?
It could be financial, occupational, social…. it could even relay into your wellness goals.
The biggest advice is to make a list and seriously check it twice! Be sure that what you are setting out to do is achievable in the sense of “time”. Follow the guidelines below:
- Identify your goal
- Drum up a realistic time frame
- Discover key variables for efficiency
- Include a self-reward.
Proper planning leads to proper achieving! Happy planning!!!!!
