As POTS Strong individuals, we choose the contrary.
One would believe that by experiencing the unpredictability of poor circulation, poor blood volume, orthostatic intolerance, heat intolerance, tachycardia, deconditioning, insomnia, fatigue, anxiety…flares… on a daily basis; we’d become bumps on a log (literally and metaphorically; <insert sarcasm here> but for REAL lol).
I believe it’s innate to think that thought.
I know I did when I was experiencing POTS symptoms prior to my official diagnosis.
I literally sat in a recliner for days…there are no words to describe that state of health.
I wish that mental and physical state on on one.
Fast forward to my diagnosis, I was SHOCKED to hear that I was being encouraged to exercise while feeling this way.
After I discussed this non-pharmacological treatment plan with my physician at Mayo Clinic I knew I had to try….I was 15 at the time and I had things I wanted to do; that recliner was getting old.
Working against the odds, I utilized the POTS Strong Method to heal.
Exercise, Nutrition and Mindfulness became the top priorities to my day.
Ask any POTS individual, how many times they had wished for change.
How many times they had been told to try a protocol or incorporate “xyz” behaviors into their day.
Then ask them why it hasn’t worked for them? Or maybe it has a little but they feel that there is more…
Then talk to a POTS Strong individual.
POTS Strong individuals live against the odds. Alongside physicians consent we believe our bodies are trainable via the POTS Strong Method. We utilize knowledge as power.
We understand how our body works. We listen to our bodies needs. We are disciplined. We are educated and rock a great support system. POTS Strong individuals believe the POTS Strong Method it is the necessary challenge that will bring the desired and needed change.
Change in daily symptoms.
Change in overall quality of life.
POTS COMMUNITY: It’s time to view your doctors recommendations as the necessary protocols to achieve your optimum quality of life.
Live and Breath the quote: “If it doesn’t challenge you it doesn’t change you”.
